Tom Ellard
Born 1962. Australian citizen. Tom draws upon 30 years experience in many variants of digital media production from music, live and installation video, to commercial print design. He sees 'pop culture' and 'high art' as sharing common ground. He insists that most media is 'music'.

1993 Provided very early downloadable music on the Internet using MPEG-1, level 2, sponsored by Next Media.
1993 Created first local music CD-ROM for SONY Music.
1995 Created world first MP2 music album, equal to 12 standard CDs.
2003 Created infinite ambient DVD ‘Carillon’ which interrogates player registers for random performance.

Define technical document for 'Umami' automated video programming system, including possible relationship with 'The Pool' ABC TV community art project. Keywords - Tagging, MPEG-7, computer based visual signage, VJ culture.
Develop 3D space 'Park' for online sound performance. Keywords - streaming audio, virtual spaces, publishing.
